Diablo

Today has been a funny day. As in, it all started yesterday.

Yesterday I went to the city to complain about my half complete box set of Diablo II, the damn thing was missing 3 discs that thankfully they found in the back.

Level 11 Sourceress so far. Game is so addictive, I'm glad to play it once again!

After that I came home and played a few games, chatted on MSN. Then Henry asked me out for a 2am wine drinking session at his, which, despite the fact I was hella tired I was lonely and bored so I went along. Haven't seen henry for -ages-. Stopped by Mickey D's and then went back to his. Red wine was on the menu, along with hentai/gore anime film. Wasn't my choice believe me haha. What has been seen cannot be unseen. T______T

Film ended at 6am, and then we bummed around for an hour but I was still awake somehow so I decided to not stay there and venture on home, catching the trains at such an hour of the morning, I really feel sorry for people who have to be up that early..

Instead of going straight home I went grocery shopping for milk at IGA. Walking in seeing my old co-worker Saki, I must have looked terrible. Headed home and slept till 5:30pm. Got up, games, MSN...

I am enjoying immensely this free time, but I think I am sitting in front of the computer too much, as I am starting to get headaches. :/ Looking forward to Sunday where we head to Armadale to see Frode and Morgaine. I get to sleep in Mikes room, his comfy bed all to myself. =P

I'm awfully tired, even though I got up so late. Panadol for the headache and some green tea should fix the problem, or.. you know.. sleep.

East Hastings

Godspeed You! Black Emperor on the stereo... 3:24am.

It's funny, how things happen. This song, Dead Flag Blues was once played and brought with it romantic thoughts of death and destruction. It still does, but does it really hold the same meaning as it did before? I don't have anyone to share it with anymore, I have tried... I knew someone once, who was in tune with how I saw things too, we were completely on the same wavelength. I miss having someone like that, which is why I am on a quest to find such a person (much to the dismay to the ears of you Adam). Who knows, these sort of things take time. But my previous experience has shown me that we are never completely on the same station as someone else, but rather, we connect briefly until we pass on by on our own path once again.

Time to think, is what is to be embraced on these Uni holidays. I keep waking up with a sense of urgency, that there is something that is needing to be done. I keep forgetting that I own my time now, these are my few months. We wont have such a privilage for very long, when we are all settled into our full time jobs, we get a week or two off yearly, that is my biggest fear..

For some reason I see beyond that of what people take as a normal life. I'm not anything special, I know why people do... we are all so guided by money and standards. But if I was given the opportunity, I would give up everything and.. .. I wonder, what could be done? A commune? The army? Creative business?
It seems the housewife would be perfect for me, but for some reason, it isnt. I want to have my own time, but I want to make something of myself. Why is this so hard to sort out?

I know I'll find the right path soon enough, things always seem to come to light when I am needing a helping hand most in life.

Looking to my left, I see a picture of Mike and I. I get a funny feeling in my stomach when I think of him being all the way in Bahrain. I will miss him, but what a nice chance to sit back and daydream of his return! He brings a smile when he enters my thoughts.

I must awake from sleep in.. oh, 9 hours. That's decent I guess. Going out to the city, for a nice afternoon out. I am longing for a nice cool drink at a cafe and then some lunch, window shopping and all manner of such things.

Romantic thoughts of death and destruction... I can't deny, they are still there.
I miss your friendship, Otto Von Jelly.. I really do..

Nevermore

Warrel Dane.
Nevermore.

I can't stop thinking about them. I've never had a band .. okay, well maybe I have... once before... three guesses who? =P
Well, not LATELY, a band that has captured my amazement so completely. It's mainly the voice of that man you see above, he can ... do things.. with his voice... I have only heard a few songs, but I am looking forward to delving deeper into this wonderful chasm of metal.

First Landing

As I sit here, listening to Sigur Ros, I realised I have found myself absolutely where I want to be..

A few posts a go, I was wondering if where I was really where I was meant to be at this stage of my life. I think, with a strange sense of confidence, I am. Exams finished on Wednesday, I am facing a glorious Winter holiday, I have found the comfort I needed with Mike... I dare say it is something quite wonderful. My past worries and uncertainties have dissapeared with a few spoken words. How this is such a direct contrast to what I was feeling last week!

It is not only this... it's many things... the hole I had dug myself into few a months now has suddenly let me go, or rather, I have escaped from it.

I sense a new beginning, the rediscovered optmisism that I had lost last year. I've been looking for it, and I think I have found it.

I know it seems my mood is forever changing with circumstances, I am vunerable to such degrees of change, but as long as I hold onto this stable ground, I can face whatever may come.

This music is so wonderful... I have changed my desk around and speaker set up. I now have my speakers on each side of my moniters instead of half way across my room. It hits me... it warms my heart to hear such beautiful music so clearly. And now I have put on Mike Oldfield, the man of talent and beauty beyond this world. I have such a beautiful outlook on things, I wish I could hold onto this feeling forever.

One down.

One exam down, one to go!

I just got back from the BMS360 exam, Mechanisms of Disease. I must say, I've never opened an exam paper and smiled! The questions of Part B and C (short and long answer) were all ones (except for one or two) of which I had studied in depth! The multiple choice though was worth 2/3rds of the exam, while I might have done good in those two sections, this one might bring me down. But, I KNOW I got the percentage I needed to pass the unit. Now it's all a matter of what passing grade I get! :D

I'm awfully glad that ones over, for now I have the night to focus only on Pharmacology. Even though I've done INSANE amount of hours for this exam, I still think I am so very unprepared. But, I've written all my notes, I've written the learning objectives and practice essays, all I have to do tonight is READ and MEMORISE.

I'm meeting Mike in the city tomorrow for lunch, for it will be in celebration of two things, the end of our exams, and our 6 months of being together. I know he doesn't dig the whole romantic side of things, but I do. :3

I can't decide whether to go the library or not. I think I might till 10:30. Then I'll come home, and sleep!
