Return to the Origin

Taking guide from Sei Shonagons 'The Pillow Book'. Simple things to be catagorised, what sort of things bring certain emotions or feelings.

Things that calm me:

- Mike Oldfield's - Songs of Distant Earth
- A cup of green tea.
- Going out for a nighttime walk.
- Napping

Things that send my heart soaring:

- Random, delightful call or message from a friend, just to say hello.
- Octavarium
- A metal gig, the intensity of the crowd.
- Godspeed You! Black Emperor
- Taking glimpse of a shooting star.

Things that make me smile:

- Terry Pratchett
- When I see an old couple walking together down a street.
- Sitting in lecture theaters, with a nice drink, waiting for a lecture to start.
- Toddler children, dressed up in the most adorable of outfits, smiling, and holding hand hands with their parents.
- Sharing a private joke with someone, knowing we're the only ones who would understand it.
- Remembering my brothers uncanny ability to smell a Clinker and tell me what colour it was inside.

Things that scare me:

- When I wake up suddenly of a night-time, my heart racing and I believe there is something else in the room with me.
- The fear of grinding my teeth in my sleep.
- Coming face to face with a multiple legged creature, unable to overcome my fear to rid of it.
- The working world.

Things that make me feel nostalgic:

- Looking at old photographs, or reading through my previous journals.
- Experiencing deja-vu and not being able to explain why.
- This song - http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=rJA4TGOAn98

The captcha is the thing below the comment box, you type in the randomly generated letters, and if they match what the captcha picture, you've successfully verified you're a human being and not a robot spamming messages. I'll send you a picture...
